how it all started
We collaborate with over 350 skilled weavers across rural Tamil Nadu, India, to craft ethically produced fabrics and sustainable handwoven textiles. Our work celebrates indigenous weaving traditions and the rich techniques of South Indian craftsmanship.
Range of handmade textiles
We proudly offer an exclusive collection of scarves, stoles, garments, and natural fabrics—including handspun and handwoven cotton and India’s indigenous handloom silks such as Kora, Mulberry, Tussar, Peduncle Tussar, Muga, Eri (Peace Silk), and Ghicha.
Our expertise extends to traditional handweaving and hand-printing techniques, including Jacquard weaving, block printing, and screen printing. We also incorporate natural dyes throughout our process, including warp and weft dyeing, to ensure authenticity and sustainability in every textile.
🌿 Ethical Principles We Uphold
Fair Wages & Safe Working Conditions Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s 1918 movement advocating handspun and handwoven clothing as a path to self-reliance, we strive to build a self-sustaining ecosystem that honors his vision. By ensuring artisans receive fair, living wages in safe environments, we not only uplift their livelihoods but also encourage future generations to preserve this timeless craft.
Environmental Stewardship Synthetic fabrics derived from plastic pose serious environmental risks, shedding microfibers that enter our waterways—resulting in seafood consumers unknowingly ingesting up to 11,000 particles each year. In response, we produce eco-friendly natural textiles with a minimal carbon footprint, free from toxic chemicals, and dyed using sustainable methods.
Cultural Empowerment & Artisan Recognition We are committed to celebrating and elevating the artistry of rural weavers by bringing global attention to their exquisite handwoven textiles. This growing appreciation fosters better wages, strengthens cultural pride, and inspires a new wave of rural entrepreneurship rooted in heritage and craftsmanship.
